Seminar Overview

Ericksonian Hypnosis, NLP, AEDP and Social Psychology teach us the importance of meta-communication and the power of tone, tempo, and numerous other para-verbal elements.  This seminar will focus on a particular element of meta-communication; silence. Silence as it occurs within the context of speech and within context of our sessions.  In attending this seminar, participants will experience new ways of thinking about, eliciting and utilizing silence drawing from elements of Ericksonian Hypnosis, Brainspotting, Ego State Therapy, mindfulness, quantum physics, interpersonal neurobiology, and somatically oriented therapies.

This seminar is intended for intermediate clinicians, and those individuals who have completed at least some training in either Ericksonian Hypnosis, Brainspotting Phase 1, IFS or Ego State Therapy. Should you feel that despite not having completed one of these trainings you still want to attend, please reach out to me so that we can discuss if this training will be appropriate for you. 

Teaching Objectives

1. Attendees will be able to differentiate between structured and unstructured silence and demonstrate two ways to utilize both structured silence within the context of Clinical Sessions.
2. Attendees will expand their understanding of how silence can be used to promote relationship both between therapist and client and within the client system (ie: between ego states).
3. Attendees will be able to identify the techniques that can be utilized to facilitate accelerated healing and articulate why they are effective.

We hope that you will join us and learn more about how work with individual of all ages who are struggling with attachment trauma and/or complex trauma as well as individuals whose Ego States may be find change difficult.

Cancellation policy: Refund of Fee minus $100 if canceled prior to one month before the training. We ask that should you need to cancel after that time that you either reschedule the training with this trainer at a later date or find someone to fill your spot.

NOTE: Attendees must either be a student in an accredited program in counseling, psychotherapy, psychology, coaching, ministry or medicine or have graduated from an accredited program.

Additional Information: CEs are available via NASW NJ for a maximum of (16) CE Hours.

Satisfactory Completion 

Participants must have paid tuition fee, signed in, attended the entire seminar, completed an evaluation, and signed out in order to receive a certificate. Failure to sign in or out will result in forfeiture of credit for the entire course. No exceptions will be made. Partial credit is not available.

Certificates documenting the CEs will be sent to you automatically following your successful completion of the training.                                  

Susan Pinco, PhD, LCSW is in private practice in NYC and New Jersey, and teaches internationally, offering courses in powerful, somatically-informed, experiential modalities that promote healing by bridging the gap between mind and body. Susan is a certified Brainspotting (BSP) consultant and trainer, and a member of David Grand’s NY supervision group which has worked with him as he developed Brainspotting. She is also an ASCH certified Hypnotherapist/Consultant and an EMDR certified consultant.
