A Message About Telehealth from Judy Gringorten, Executive Director of PTCNY and Robin Halpern, Co-Director PTCNY
To Our Readers
PTCNY therapists have all developed the capability to do their psychotherapy sessions via telehealth due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
With Covid varying in intensity, many of our members have continued to work primarily using video-based therapy.
Others members have returned to in-person work either part or full-time.
We have found that video-based therapy can be a very satisfactory way to conduct sessions. It can be convenient as it allows for more flexibility than in-person meetings. This is especially important for those who cannot make it into the office for any reason.
But we also know that for many of our clients, in-person work is very important and indeed many of our member therapists either prefer or are pleased to work both virtually and in-person.
When you’re looking for a therapist please note that our therapists will indicate which way they are working or will certainly be available to answer questions you may have.
So please search our member roster for a therapist who fits your needs, and feel free to send an email to judithgringorten@gmail.com if you have questions or comments.
