Personal Statement

What a joy it is that my job is to create an accepting, nurturing space for my clients to learn to be willing to observe their inner experiences with acceptance, compassion and love. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a mindfulness-based modality, to help my clients learn how to move towards valued directions and live a life of vitality and connectedness to self, others and the world.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with 12 years of experience providing individual psychotherapy for adults of all ages. My private practice is in Chelsea and I serve a diverse population of both men and women of varying sexualities including heterosexual and the LGBTQ community. My primary treatment modalities are evidence-based practices and I very much enjoy seeing clients obtain symptom relief and gaining the tools they need to be empowered to live their lives without being encumbered by mental health obstacles. My clients often tell me they are so happy to be seeing someone who is focused and gives them concrete tools to manage their symptoms and lives, including cognitive restructuring, mindfulness techniques, exploration of core beliefs and values, acceptance and problem solving. My goal is to empower you to achieve your goals and to live the life you envision for yourself, guided by your core values.
