Personal Statement

As a seasoned, compassionate psychotherapist with an integrative approach, I draw from psychoanalytic, behavioral, and experiential methods to address your unique needs. Whether we are analyzing your dreams, using guided imagery and mindfulness for stress reduction, reflective listening or gestalt techniques for relational conflicts, or EMDR for trauma, the quality of our collaboration is key. I listen carefully and empathically to establish an environment of trust, where you feel free to express and explore all of your beliefs, worries, fears, and wishes. I ask simple questions to open new avenues of thought and bring internal conflicts to light for resolution. I believe in the talking cure but when there are no words EMDR can be an effective mind-body treatment to move through impasses and accelerate healing of trauma, grief and loss, and performance anxiety.

Good therapy results in lifelong meaningful change. Our collaboration cultivates self reflection with the intent of expanding your options for fulfillment. In my experience, positive changes are noticed only in retrospect, as what once was simply is no longer, but has healed, resolved, or transformed.
