Personal Statement:

Psychotherapeutic work is a way of truly valuing yourself, whether you are new to this process, or have been on the road of self-discovery for quite some time.   Being a therapist and offering you the space to listen and learn about yourself is an honor and a privilege.  Perhaps you are at a crossroads in your life, staring at a blank canvas, or feeling confused or stuck in some way.  Or you may find that a relationship or a feeling you thought you were “over” is stirring once again.  Together, we will open up a conversation using a combination of talk therapy and new ways to listen to the wisdom of the body (which is faster than “talk therapy” alone).  Over time, the relationship we create can serve as a touchstone for you on your path.  Let’s discover together how you can lead the life you most desire and deserve.
By taking a deeper look inside, things begin to change, and your path and purpose become clearer.  We will bring what is under the surface into awareness, and integrate your past so that it is no longer an obstacle in the present.  Paying attention to the more difficult emotions isn’t easy, but learning how to do just that leads to transformation, allowing feelings of contentment and joy to emerge.
I find that “thinking outside the box” and being as creative as I possibly can, (along with lots of humor and compassion), supports you in finding your authentic voice.  With 20+ years of experience as a therapist and a movement practitioner, the work we will do together will allow you to trust in your ability to make life-long, meaningful changes that lead to a more balanced, fulfilling life.
Please feel free to read more about me on my PTCNY page, where you will find details on my training, education, specialties and more.  If you have any questions for me, please call me at 212.532.3733 or email me at

1st phone consultation, to get to know one another, no charge.  A listener to both your words and the feelings behind them, I will meet you where you are, honoring your path and your process. I am a Black Belt Instructor of the Nia Technique, a movement practice that evokes pleasure, and promotes wholeness and healing.  Using Nia Principles, I have offered workshops to singers and actors to invite greater ease in their bodies.  In addition, I enjoy speaking at conferences, offering workshops and playshops combining therapy and Nia, co-presenting weekend retreats for women*, and writing for psychotherapeutic journals.  If any of this speaks to you, I look forward to hearing from you.  Enter into a new, different, deeper conversation with yourself, and find your way home.
