Personal Statement:

I am a seasoned international career coach and social work psychotherapist with over 35 years experience successfully counseling individuals, couples and groups in their personal and professional lives.

In addition to my social work degree, I have a certificate from NYU in training and organizational development. I have taught social work in many masters’ level programs
and taught internationally in China and Saudi Arabia.

In China I assisted human resource professionals to establish internal executive coaching programs, and taught cross-cultural communication. I taught sociology and conflict
resolution in Saudi Arabia.

I particularly enjoy the challenge of counseling cross culturally. I have worked and traveled extensively in Asia, and am knowledgeable about many Asian cultures.

I am a certified employee assistance counselor (CEAP) and work for many EAP’s doing short-term solutions oriented counseling. I enjoy helping people develop a work life that
speaks to their creativity, personal values and interests. Please visit RLavinski.com for articles on learning how to be more political in the workplace. Look under publications:
