I am a therapist and performance coach who specializes in treating young professionals, athletes and performing artists. I provide couples counseling and psychotherapy for individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, and chronic pain or illness. My approach as a therapist is non-judgmental and practical. I am an active therapist who is dedicated to helping people live their best lives. My aim is to provide a safe and supportive environment to strengthen self-esteem and facilitate more meaningful connections with family, friends, professional colleagues, or teammates.
I obtained my Master’s degree from The Silver School of Social Work at NYU and Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I am formally trained in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), a mindfulness and values-based psychotherapy that utilizes mindfulness interventions and stress-management techniques to promote healthy living and positive life choices. The foundation of ACT is to identify and accept aspects of your life that are out of your control, while taking committed action towards those areas that are within your control. I am also trained in Imago Relationship Therapy. Imago Therapy works to restore the love and safety within your relationship and create a deeper connection with your partner. Through the Imago Dialogue, you and your partner will learn to be more fully present and listen empathically to each others point of view. In practicing the dialogue, you become more accepting of your differences. Problems are creatively solved when the paradigm shifts from “what’s good for me” to “what’s best for the two of us.”
