Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills Training Curriculum
Submitted by Jeremy Schwartz, LCSW

My next Monday afternoon DBT skills group for adults will begin in September.

The group follows the Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills training curriculum and is appropriate for clients with anxiety, depression, relationship problems, and/or borderline personality. Participation requires a commitment to learning DBT skills as well as weekly individual therapy (with me or another therapist).

Clients can participate in one or more skills modules. The session dates are:

Mindfulness Skills: 9/17, 9/24, 10/1, 10/15, 10/22, 10/29
Emotion Regulation Skills: 11/5, 11/19, 11/26, 12/3, 12/10, 12/17
Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills: 1/7, 1/14, 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 2/25
Distress Tolerance Skills: 3/4, 3/11, 3/18, 3/25, 4/1, 4/8

I have availability in the coming weeks to meet with potential group members for an intake assessment. Please share my contact information with clients who may benefit, or give me a call at 917-512-1274 if you'd like to discuss a possible referral.
